Before joining Tradewin in 2010 as Principal of the US Consulting Practice, Michael had worked for Expeditors for 8 years in a wide variety of management positions including Customs Brokerage Operations, Import & Export Compliance, Freight Forwarding, and Supply Chain Analytics. Michael is responsible for all aspects of Tradewin's global consulting practices in North America, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific. He has a talent for bringing common sense solutions to complex regulatory scenarios. He specializes in building compliance programs, providing educational seminars and workshops, advising risk mitigation, and implementing duty reduction programs.

Michael is a U.S. Licensed Customs Broker. He is IATA/FIATA certified and is a member of the International Compliance Professionals Association. He is a graduate of Boston College with a degree in Economics.

For more than 25 years, Larry has been working with the U.S. trade community designing, implementing and managing Customs duty and fee recovery programs. He's worked for companies in every industry, including automotive, chemical, retail, and pharmaceutical. Nearly half of that time was spent as the Vice President of a prominent drawback specialist and customhouse brokerage firm in New York City. Since 1999, Larry has been Principal for Drawback Services at Tradewin.

Larry serves on committees for AAEI, National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association (NCFFAA), and the ACE Trade Support Network. He is a U.S. Licensed Custom Broker and holds BBA degrees in Managerial Accounting and Finance from Pace University/NYC.

Jim joined Tradewin in 2009, continuing a successful career in international logistics and trade compliance that began in 1980. He has spent more than three decades in leadership roles overseeing international trade compliance including the positions of corporate Director of Operations and as Chairman of the Board of Directors for a large U.S. shipper's association.

Jim's technical background covers a wide range of international trade areas including harmonized tariff classification, valuation, anti-dumping and risk analysis. Jim is a graduate of North Shore Community College and majored in Business Administration at Salem State University. He is a member of the International Compliance Professionals Association and a US Licensed Customs Broker.

Rob Moore

As Principal for Tradewin's Canadian practice, Rob brings expertise in H.S. Classification, Valuation, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Least Developed Country Tariff (LDCT), and General Preferential Tariff (GPT), as well as extensive experience with the automotive and textile industries.

In his 20 years in the customs industry, Rob has successfully obtained tariff relief from the Department of Finance for Canadian importers. Recently, he worked with petrochemicals to streamline the processes in the bonded movement of fossil fuels. He has provided detailed valuation guidance to both resident and non-resident importers. Rob has successfully assisted importers with their acceptance in the CBSA's Partners in Protection program.

As Principal of Tradewin in the Asia Pacific region, Marko manages Tradewin’s practices in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, China, Hong Kong and India. Prior to joining Tradewin, Marko worked in several capacities in the logistics industry including managing freight forwarding and customs operations. Marko has years of trade compliance experience and adding value to supply chains through various duty mitigation methods, involving Tariff Classification, Tariff Concession Orders, Valuation, Duty Drawback, Free Trade Agreements, and industry assistance schemes. Marko also assists clients in understanding the complexities of customs and trade compliance, and implementing programs to mitigate and manage associated risks, including AEO/Trusted Trader programs. Marko is a licensed Customs Broker in Australia and is fully accredited by the Department of Agriculture & Water Resources. He holds a Bachelor of International Business from the University of South Australia.

As Principal for Tradewin's practice in Europe, Matt brings extensive experience in working with importers and exporters to perfect their compliance operations. He specializes in duty recovery programs, preferential trade agreement qualification, tariff classification, and audit support. Prior to joining Tradewin in Europe, Matt worked for Tradewin in the U.S. for four years. His most recent role was as Manager of Tradewin's U.S. Duty Drawback practice. There, he pursued duty recovery programs for companies in every industry, including automotive, pharmaceutical, fashion and retail.

Preceding that role, Matt supported Tradewin as an Import Services Consultant, where he assisted clients with first sale for export programs, prior disclosure presentations to U.S. Customs, and import declaration auditing. Matt holds a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy and International Commerce from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Furman University. He is a Licensed Customs Broker in the U.S. and is IATA/FIATA Certified.

Cindy Chen leads Tradewin China team and is responsible for overall management and leadership of China operations. Cindy possesses a wealth of knowledge and 18 years practical experience on all manner of China Customs and trade matter. She maintains close relationships with Customs, CIQ and other authorizations in China. In addition to technical knowledge of China trade regulations and policies, Cindy understands how those policies are implemented on the ground in real life.

Prior to joining Tradewin, Cindy worked for General Electric (GE) for 12 years in a range of China and Asia Customs and trade compliance management roles including: Customs Strategic Initiatives Leader - APAC & China; Customs Integration and Processes Project Manager - APAC; and Customs and Trade Compliance Leader - Greater China. Prior to GE, Cindy worked for Emerson responsible for Asia Pacific logistics. She is a graduate of East China University of Science and Technology, and also holding the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.

Norm joined Tradewin in 2011, continuing a successful career in international logistics and trade compliance that began in 1987. He has held the position of Trade Counsel for a logistics management firm and managed the Trade Compliance departments for several multinational corporations. Norm's technical background includes Focused Assessment, C-TPAT implementation, Free Trade Agreement compliance, and expertise in a broad spectrum of international trade topics.

Norm holds a B.A. from Middlebury College and a J.D. from Suffolk Law School. He is a licensed customs broker and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

Noel manages Tradewin Asia's regional projects and initiatives. He brings with him a combined 11 years of corporate in-house and consulting experience in trade, customs and transfer pricing having previously worked with a diverse clientele across industry groups as a consultant with the Big 4.

Noel joins Tradewin from Apple where he was a key member of the APAC global trade compliance team in Singapore. He holds a law degree from the University of London and a Masters in International Law from the University of Malaya researching WTO law. He is a member of the Asian Society of International Law and has authored published works in peer reviewed law journals.

Queena manages both our Tradewin Hong Kong team and leads our Retail sector in Asia. Queena has over 10 years of regional and China trade compliance experience.

Prior to joining Tradewin in 2017, Queena worked in the customs and trade practice of a Big 4 firm in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Queena has a wealth of experience and expertise in customs and trade consulting and has managed well over 200 customs and trade projects in Asia. She has experience in customs defense and planning projects in the areas of customs valuation (including transfer pricing adjustments and trademark royalty reviews), origin, duty savings optimization, and supply chain trade compliance reviews.

Queena is a speaker at external events, and has held multiple client workshops on retail and consumer trade compliance. She was a co-author for one of the sections in the book Governance, Risk and Compliance Management in China for German companies.

Queena graduated from the University of New South Wales with double majors in Business Economics and Finance. She is also a certified member of CPA Australia.

Phapawin Phanyasiri, General Manager Tradewin Thailand, has over 16 years of trade compliance experience in Thailand. Phapawin has worked for the Thailand government and in the electronic and automotive industries. In his roles have consisted of associating with the issuance of import and export regulations, policies, procedures and practices to facilitate better implementation and defend issues. He also implemented trade compliance programs that allows for identifying risks and preventing mitigation damages related to the customs laws of countries where the company operates.

He provides advice and assistance on HS code classification, import permits and licenses for controlled products requested from government agencies such as TISI, NTBC, etc. Preferential trade program under Global and AP agreement, such as Carnet, FTA and local programs (BOI, Customs FreeZone, Bonded Warehouse, Bis 19, etc.). He is also proficient in strategic design, applications, and benefits of the NSW data linkage system with ERP and other systems.

Ashutosh Nath leads India practice of Tradewin from his Mumbai office. For a period of over 10 years, Ashutosh has been advising clients on various Customs and Indirect Tax issues across sectors in India. Prior to Tradewin, Ashutosh was working with a Big 4 consulting firms. Ashutosh has managed hundreds of assignments which include Advisory and Compliance related to Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ); Free Trade Agreements (FTA), HS Classification & Customs Valuation; Customs and Trade Health Checks & Indirect Tax Optimization; Foreign Trade Policy including duty exemption schemes and credit scrips; GST Implementation in India and Dispute resolutions at various levels in India.

He is a Chartered Accountant and Graduate in Commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai University.
